Are you kidding me? What has happened to the good ol' hockey game? After watching the replays of the atrocity that was the Pittsburgh Penguins versus the New York Islanders, I feel sick. It was practically war on ice. Yes I know the play offs are quickly approaching, and the race is on, but there is absolutely no excuse for the behaviour shown by these two teams. What has happened to sportsmenship? I can not even illustrate how many fights occured durring those eighty minutes. To be exact there were 65 penalties that totaled 346 minutes and including 10 ejections. There were 15 fighting majors and 20 misconducts in the game that set records for both teams for most combined penalty minutes and left few players around to finish it. I honestly do not think in my years of being an avid hockey watcher that I have ever seen something like this. Words do not even give this even justice; however, a video does:

Unobtainable; Not So Much.
Okay, so as I'm watching the news, the same types of stories are making the headlines. It seems as though this subject is taking over my favourite news station CHCH News, among many others. Protests have been occurring all over the world, in different places, but with a reoccurring topic of change. It all began in 2009 in Iran when many Irani citizens protested the outcome of their controversial presidential election. Following this was the protests in Tunisia that called for the resignation of President Zine El Abidine Ben Ali, who officially resigned after fleeing to Saudi Arabia, ending 23 years in power. This sparked the Egyptian protests to change the ways in which their contry was being governed. This chain of change is something I have been waiting for for the longest time. I've always believed that if people honestly wanted change, they would do something about it, and now that they have, I don't think it's going to stop.
